Cloudnosys Privacy Policy for Application Users
At Cloudnosys, your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect the information you provide when using the Cloudnosys platform. By using our services, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
Information We Collect from Users
1.1 Account Information
When you register for the Cloudnosys platform, we collect personal information such as your name, email address, company name, and other relevant details required for creating your account and providing our services.
1.2 Cloud Account Integration Information
To provide security and compliance services, we collect metadata from your connected cloud environments, such as project identifiers, resource details (for example, VM IDs and IAM roles), access policies, and configuration metadata. We only access the configuration data necessary for analysis and do not access or store your application data or personal files.
1.3 Usage Data
We collect data regarding your interaction with the Cloudnosys platform to improve our services, including login information, usage statistics, and any errors or issues you encounter while using the platform.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Deliver the services you request, including security assessments, compliance reporting, and threat detection.
- Provide customer support and resolve inquiries or issues you encounter on the platform.
- Analyze usage patterns to optimize the platform and enhance performance.
- Maintain a secure and compliant environment aligned with industry best practices.
Permissions and Access Scope
3.1 Read-Only Permissions
Our platform primarily operates with read-only permissions across cloud services. This allows us to retrieve metadata about cloud resources, analyze configurations for compliance, and generate security posture reports and alerts.
3.2 Temporary Write Permissions
We may request temporary write permissions to create and configure a service account for Cloudnosys and assign IAM roles that enable our scanning and monitoring capabilities. These permissions are used only during the initial setup. Once configured, Cloudnosys reverts to read-only permissions. Cloudnosys performs automated security and compliance scans once every 24 hours, analyzing cloud configuration metadata without modifying user data or application content.
Data Storage and Protection
Cloudnosys encrypts data in transit and at rest, limits access to authorized personnel, and retains data only as long as necessary to provide our services. You can request data deletion at any time.
Your Rights Regarding Your Data
As a user, you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Update or correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Ask for your data to be deleted, subject to legal or contractual requirements.
- Revoke Cloudnosys' access to your cloud accounts at any time by removing the service account or associated IAM roles.
To exercise these rights, contact us at support@cloudnosys.com.
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share it with service providers who assist in operating the Cloudnosys platform or disclose it as required to comply with legal obligations.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Cloudnosys uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and gather usage statistics. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser, though disabling them may impact platform functionality.
Data Transfers and International Compliance
When data is transferred outside your country of origin, we protect it with appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses and hosting in compliant Google Cloud regions.
